2. KGF: Part 2

The sequel to the blockbuster movie sees Vijayendra take over the narrative as he describes the struggle over the Kolar Gold Fields. The movie leaves you in hopes of a third part, but watch it to find out for yourself whether or not there will be one.

3. Pushpa

A great movie with an equally amazing soundtrack, Pushpa lays out the story of a labourer who struggles to make it big in a smuggling syndicate, facing the wrath of those in power.


4. Heropanti 2

This sequel to the 2014 film has Tiger Shroff as a hacker who is out to track down the mastermind behind one of the biggest cyber crimes to occur in the world.

 5. Sharma Ji Namkeen

Technically Rishi Kapoor’s last film, which was released after his death, this film is about a middle-aged widower who grapples with life as he tries to pass his time by offering professional cooking services at kitty parties. The main role of Brij Gopal Sharma has been played by Paresh Rawal alongside Rishi Kapoor, for the parts filmed after Kapoor’s death.


6. Jalsa

A thriller starring Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan, Jalsa has a plot riddled with dilemmas and contradictions. It makes for a great commentary on the nature of the human mind, and society at large.

7. Gehraiyaan

Deepika Padukone’s first OTT venture, Gehraiyaan was a film by Shakun Batra, about the flawed nature of humans and how that ends up affecting our relationships and everything that we do.


8. Runway 34

Starring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Rakul Preet Singh, Runway 34 is a film based on real events. An aviation accident that happened in 2015 is the premise of the film.
