1. Ulajh | 02 August
A gripping spy thriller starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mattew in lead roles, the film revolves around an IFS officer belonging to a family of patriots who gets entangled in a conspiracy where lives, career, and reputation are at stakes. How will she solve the issue and pull herself out of these murky waters? That’s what the whole film is about.
2. The Sabarmati Report | 02 August
A thriller drama film directed by Ranjan Chandel which is based on a true event that happened in 2002. The movie shows the Sabarmati Express incident that happened in 2002 and what all conspired around it. The movie which was earlier scheduled to release in May will now release in August 2024. The movie features Vikrant Massey, Rashii Khanna, and Riddhi Dogra in prominent roles.
3. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha | 02 August
A period thriller romance drama starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in which the love story of two young lovers expands from 2003 to 2023. While a tragedy separates them at a young age, destiny gives them a second chance to meet and rekindle their love. However, there are still some threats— how will they overcome them? That’s what we will see once the movie is out for us to watch in the theatres. Excited, right?
4. Woh Ladki Hai Kahan | 08 August
A light rom-com starring Tapsee Pannu, and Pratik Gandhi— this movie is termed as a ‘madcap comedy’ which has all the quirks that would leave you shocked and happy! The movie is about Prateek Gandhi’s character out on a hunt along with a policewoman (Tapsee Pannu), to find his missing bride. The rest of the plot is kept under wraps, but we sure know that this is a different comedy than most rom-coms that Bollywood shows us. So, waiting for this one!
5. Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba | 09 August
Haseen Dilruba was a 2021 famous romantic thriller that people loved for its unexpected twists and the ending too! Well, the makers are back with its sequel. The second movie shows Rani and Rishu who had successfully fooled and escaped the the Agra police after doing an accidental murder. However, they are still on the run and the police are still searching for them. So, Rani finds a mild-mannered admirer who could help them stay clear of any threat.
6. Stree 2 | 15 August
The horror comedy film Stree is back with its second installment ‘Stree 2’. This film is about a headless evil ghost who has a grudge against all the women of Chanderi and takes them away at night. The film also shows more layers around Stree’s story, her return as a protector of the town, and Vicky’s gang who are back to fight the ghost once again. Hoping to find the same amount of fear, comedy, and entertainment in this sequel too.
7. Khel Khel Mein | 15 August
A comedy suspense thriller movie in which everyone’s dirty laundry is going to get washed in public! Yup, the film is about a group of close-knit friends who gather together for a dinner and chat session. But, the moment they start playing a unique game, where whenever the mobile screen turns on for a notification or call— everyone will have access to it! This harmless game turns dangerous as the night goes on. Many secrets are spilled, and hearts are broken. So, ready for a game night?
8. Vedaa | 15 August
An action thriller about a young and brave woman who realizes how harsh the world is. She feels that this draconian and repressive system is so against people like her and so she decides to fight. She finds another fearless warrior ready to take on the demons of today’s world— so, together they become a strong team and fight against the system. This high-octane action movie starring Sharvari Wagh, and John Abraham in lead roles is a great flick for all the action-lovers.
9. Ghudchadi | 09 August
A family drama romance genre movie, Ghudchadi is bringing Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt as an on-screen couple after a long time. Other than them, Khushali Kumar and Parth Samthaan are also playing a couple alongside. The film is a rib-tickling ride full of misunderstandings and love-struck people all at the wrong place at the wrong time! The movie is about a man named Chirag who has decided to get hitched to his long-time girlfriend— Devika. However, what they don’t realize is that Chirag’s father Col. Veer Sharma, and Devika’s mom Menka are each other’s long-lost love. And, when they come face-to-face at the wedding— sparks fly everywhere!
