Besides being a commercial hit, Fanaa was also highly critical appreciated. The movie also won a number of awards including three accolades at 52nd Filmfare Awards – Best Actress (Kajol), Best Lyrics (Prasoon Joshi) and Best Playback Singer (Shaan and Kailash Kher) & two accolades at 8th IIFA Awards – Best Lyrics (Prasoon Joshi) and Best Male Playback (Shaan).
