Our very favourite, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is back on the screen to give us the masala we need! She stars along with Richard Madden in the latest Amazon Prime spy show Citadel. The show revolves around two spies fighting against the forces trying to destroy the biggest spy agency Citadel. Besides the thrilling plot, the best part about the series is seeing Priyanka Chopra performing action stunts effortlessly. Citadel is set to release on Amazon Prime on 28th April.
2. Beef
Beef is an Asian American comedy series which released on Netflix on the 6th of April. This series, starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun tells the story of two young people who meet in a road rage incident. The road rage incident is then followed up by revenge from both sides. It is a one-of-a-kind story which deals with how emotionally dysregulated people in today’s generation are. Being an Asian American show, it has a lot of Asian references that don’t seem forced and fit in well with the development of the story.

3. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel S5
The fans of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are in for a treat because the show is back with its fifth season! The show is about the journey of a perfect housewife turned stand-up comedian Miriam Midge Maisel who navigates her way through the conservative stand-up scenario of the 1950s. Season 4 ended on a rather sad note with Midge only seeing a flicker of light at the end of a dark tunnel. In season 5, Midge has actually taken it upon herself to find this flicker of light by signing up for the Gordom Ford show lineup! It has proven to be one of the most awaited TV shows on OTT in April 2023. The season is set to release on Amazon Prime on the 14th of April.
Written and produced by Anna Winger, Transatlantic is a historical drama series that deals with the rescue operation of over a thousand refugees from France to the US. This rescue operation conducted against the backdrop of World War II was single-handedly organised by an American TV journalist, Varian Fray. The show has a well-integrated humour that prevents the show from becoming dark and heavy. It might not be 100% historically accurate, but the show makes for a great watch to get a faint idea of how dire the situations were back during the war. Transatlantic is available to watch on Netflix.
The crossover is a warm TV sports drama based on a novel of the same name by Kwame Alexander. The show revolves around twin basketball-playing brothers and the problems they face as a family and also while trying to live their lives as normal individuals. The show is warm as it sends the message of a family sticking together as a team. It is a perfect watch if you are in the mood for something sappy. It is available to watch on Disney+.
6. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always
Power Rangers were a huge part of the 90s and 2000s kids’ childhoods. We have all grown up trying to impersonate our favourite power ranger. Well, this one is about to make you feel old. The Power Rangers are back to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. This new season of Power Rangers will put an end to all fans’ unrest as it will address the many theories that have come up in the past 30 years. The episodes of this Tv show will be streaming from 19th April 2023 only on Netflix.
