1. Jubilee
Jubilee is probably the most awaited web series of the month! Featuring Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Ram Kapoor among others, the fictive show is a period drama set in 1947. The show deals with the early stages of Bollywood in newly independent India. While all seemed glittery, the industry housed some of the biggest scandals. Sima Taparia is back with her typical aunty matchmaking skills. The show, which was a rather comedic companion of quarantine, is coming back on the 21st of April with its third season. In this season, we will get to watch Sima Aunty help find hopelessly single millennials find their perfect match with the help of her tactics. Being a reality show, the web series paints a true picture of the politics of Indian marriages and the audience seems to love it!
April might be the month of finding love. While Indian Matchmaking adopts a rather traditional way of helping people find love, this upcoming Indian web series releasing in April 2023 is the first Indian reality dating show that takes on a modern and digital approach. Byomkesh O Pinjrapol is the latest season of the famous and celebrated TV series Byomkesh. The web series is based on the historical novels by Sharadindhu Bandopadhyay which follow the story of Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshi who with his wit solves crimes. This season too is based on the book entitled Chiriyakhana. The trailer of the beloved show’s new season piqued the audience’s interest creating a lot of excitement and anticipation. 5. Tooth Pari- When Love Bites
This upcoming web series releasing in April 2023 is a fantasy show starring Tanya Maniktila, Shantanu Maheshwari and Tillotima Shome. The show deals with a forbidden love between two contrasting forces of nature in a mystical and dark way. The romance portrayed between the two opposing characters is unique and intriguing. The first episode is set to air on Netflix on 20th April 2023.
6. Gutar Gu
Gutur Gu is an Amazon Mini Tv series with the cutest plot ever. Starring Ashlesha Thakur and Vishesh Bansal as the main leads, the show revolves around the concept of teenage love. No matter how embarrassing, new budding romances are always the purest most innocent form of love. Gutur Gu deals with exactly that. The show is a light-hearted watch which will make you go awwwww. 7. Garmi
From the director of Paan Singh Tomar, Tigmanshu Dhulia we have a new engrossing series called Garmi. Civil service is truly one of the most respectable fields of occupation but what if, in the pursuit of getting into this field, you fall into the dark world of crime and politics? Watch Garmi to see how a young man on his journey to become a civil servant grapples with these problems of society. It is truly an eye-opening show which is a must-watch for everyone. It is set to release on SonyLIV on the 20th of April.
