7 Best Dialogues From OMG 2 Movie Starring Akshay Kumar & Pankaj Tripathi

Oh My God, the movie, when released created a lot of buzz in society. Some people thought it was controversial as it targeted a particular religion, others were of the opinion that it only pointed out the hypocrisy of Godmen and not God himself. Nevertheless, the movie did not make fun of God or passed any offensive comment whatsoever. It just showed the life of a simple man who is an atheist but as certain events unfold in his life, he finally understands the true meaning of God. This role was beautifully portrayed by Paresh Rawal in the movie. With the release of Oh My God 2, we see a change in the tone of the movie. This movie now focuses on a theist, more like an ardent devotee of Shiva played by Pankaj Tripathi. The movie, like the previous one, had some funny, sarcastic, and thought-provoking dialogues. Let us have a look at some of the best dialogues from the OMG 2 movie:

1. This one literally touches the right cords in all Sanatanis. History proves this fact as Aryabhatt invented ‘zero’ without which Mathematics would not exist, Sushruta Samhita talks about all types of modern-day medical practices even like cataract surgery, plastic surgery, etc, Ayurveda, Yoga, and lots of other important inventions and discoveries that were made by Hindus thousands of years ago.

2. This is a rather funny dialogue because of the scene setting. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Shiv Gan who is basically one of the many closest aides of Lord Shiva. The Ganga River, as written in the scriptures, flows from the matted hair of Lord Shiva. Obviously, a Shiv fan would know this and that’s why Akshay Kumar says he doesn’t need to know the source of Ganga!

3. This dialogue does not need a backstory. It is heartwarming as it is. Indian parents would rather ask something from God for their children instead of themselves. All they want is the happiness of their child. That’s why no one can replace your parents as no one would take out time to pray for you.

4. Again a dialogue that can be taken on standalone context. This is a short but very powerful line. Children often are pressurized because of the high expectations of their parents. If they fail to meet the standards, they take the burden of failure on themselves and drown in guilt. A child might not be perfect but parents should remember that ‘to err it to human’.

5. This is actually quite funny and also a hint at the same type of banter in the previous movie. There Paresh Rawal talks about how if your mobile network has some issues, you will call the network company and not directly Mukesh Ambani. Both were as good as hilarious! Truly one of the best dialogues from the OMG 2 movie!

6. A motivational line whenever you feel low in life. God is omnipresent. He is listening to you and helping you in every possible way. The fact that Akshay Kumar plays Shiv Gan and is literally present there with Pankaj Tripathi (Shiv devotee) makes the line surreal.

7. The funny way our world works is shown aptly in this dialogue. Shiv Gan being away from all materialistic desires only seeks blessings from God but humans desire money more than a blessing. This is a thought-provoking dialogue as it makes you wonder what is more important in today’s world.
