1. Asur Season 2 | June 1 | Releasing on Jio Cinema
With an IMDb rating 8.4, Asur was one of the most addictive web series on all the OTT platforms combined. The psychological crime thriller glued people to their seats, and the wait for the next season was unbearable. Asur now returns with its second season as Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti are back as Dhananjay Rajput and Nikhil Nair trying their best to stop Asur and save the world.
2. Scoop | June 2 | Releasing on Netflix
Hansal Mehta has made a name for himself with highly acclaimed web series like Scam 1992 and Modern Love: Mumbai. He’s back with ‘Scoop’ featuring Karishma Tanna in the lead role. It is based on the real-life of journalist Jigna Vohra who was accused of getting her colleague and Mid-Day reporter Joytirmitra Dey killed in 2011. You can watch the crime show on Netflix on June 2, 2023.
3. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke | June 2 | Releasing in Theatres
The film features Sarah Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal as the main lead. The comedy-drama is about young college lovers who marry and have the happiest life they could have imagined. Over time, the burden of married life makes them arch-enemies who can’t stand each other. But is it really the case or are they fooling those around for something even bigger?
4. School of Lies | June 2 | Releasing on Hotstar
The search for a great mystery thriller in June ends with The School of Lies. Based on a real story, the spine-chilling thriller is about a boy who went missing from his boarding school. And Nimrat Kaur is on a mission to find him.
5. Never Have I Ever 4 | June 8 | Releasing on Netflix
Mindy Kaling’s show’s fourth and final season will explore Devi’s final school days as she searches for colleges and prepares for her prom and graduation day. We will also get to see her new love interest, Ethan. It is one of the best coming-of-age comedy shows of our time. The show has been applauded for showing the dilemmas and way of being of Indian- American teens accurately.
6. Bloody Daddy | June 9 | Releasing on Jio Cinema
Watch a cop’s life turn upside down as he’s caught stealing drugs from the mafia. The Shahid Kapoor film is based on Sleepless Night, a French action thriller released in 2011. It also boasts a notable star cast including Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, and Rajeev Khandelwal. It will be released directly on the OTT platform, Jio Cinema, on June 9, 2023.
7. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts | June 9 | Releasing in Theatres
The Sci-fi film is the seventh installment in the Transformers film series which is based on the Transformers franchise of the 1980s. The Transformer series follows Autobots and Decepticons, two robotic aliens pitted against each other. They can transform themselves into other forms such as vehicles and animals. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is inspired by the storyline of the ‘Transformers’ spinoff Beast Wars which features robots that transform into robotic animals. It is a standalone sequel to Bumblebee (2018) and a prequel to the original 2007 film. The Autobots meet a new bunch of Transformers called the Maximals, who help the Autobots save the Earth.
8. The Flash| June 15 | Releasing in Theatres
It is an upcoming fantasy adventure film based on the DC Comics character, Flash. It follows the story of Barry Allen / The Flash who travels back in time using his superpowers to change past events and save his family from a fateful future. But, he gets trapped in a present where General Zod is back, and there are no Superheroes to save the world. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu along with the original version.
9. Extraction 2 | June 16 | Releasing on Netflix
Chris Hemsworth is back with a bang in his exciting action thriller, Extraction – 2. You will watch the action hero involved in assignments that are even more dangerous than in the previous season: saving the imprisoned family of a ruthless gangster.
10. Adipurush | June 16 | Releasing in Theatres
The upcoming film is a mythological drama based on Ramayana. The film’s star cast in prominent roles include Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage. The film is made on a budget of 700 Crore and is one of the most expensive Bollywood films to be made. The teaser of the film was trolled for superficial VFx and people were comparing it to the popular mobile game, “Temple Run.” The makers of the film had to rework the VFx. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.
11. Maidaan | June 23 | Releasing in Theatres
Maidaan is a biographical film that casts Ajay Devgan as Syed Abdul Rahim, considered the most incredible Indian Football coach. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and is directed by the famous television ad director Amit Sharma. It focuses on the golden era of Indian football from 1952 to 1962 along with Abdul Rahim’s struggles, dreams, and family.
12. Satyaprem Ki Katha | June 29 | Releasing in Theatres
The hit Jodi of Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani is back together in Satyaprem Ki Katha after the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The romantic musical drama explores themes around love, and watching the teaser already makes us fall in love with it. It is all set to release on June 29, 2023, in theaters near you.
13. Witcher Season 3 | June 29 | Releasing on Netflix
This season of The Witchers brings more magic to our screens as we see the heroes battle the monsters and threats on the outside and deal with their emotions on the inside. Although the fans are excited about the series’ return there is discontent as well. The fans of Henry Cavill are sad that the actor will no longer play the lead in the future series. Liam Hemsworth would play the character thereafter. The show will be released in two volumes this season. The first volume will be released on June 29, 2023, and the next on July 27, 2023.
14. Jack Ryan Season 4 | June 30 | Releasing on: Amazon Prime
Tom Clancy is back in the fourth season of our most loved action-drama, Jack Ryan series. This season, Jack Ryan faces the most challenging mission of his life as he and his team investigate drug cartels, terrorist organizations, and a domestic conspiracy. The show will air its first two episodes on June 30, 2023.
15. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny | June 30 | Releasing in Theatres
Indiana Jones series is an action-adventure film based on an archaeologist, Dr Henry Watson “Indiana” Jones. The film stars Harris Ford as Indiana Jones, Mads Mikkelsien, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Karen Allen, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunetter Renee Wilson in prime roles. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the fifth and last film of the series. Indiana Jones along with his goddaughter is on a mission to find a nail that could change the course of history.
16. Gyaarah Gyaarah | Final release date not out yet | Releasing on Zee5
Gyaarah Gyaarah is a psychological thriller that stars Raghav Juyal and Kritika Kamra and Dhariya Kawra as the main lead. It is the first joint collaboration of Karan Johar and Oscar award winner Gurmeet Monga Kapoor, best known for her documentary The Elephant Whisperer. The show’s main plot revolves around the police trying to nab a psycho killer who strikes his victim every eleven years: 1990, 2001, and 2016. It is the remake of K – Drama, Signal. The final date of release will be announced soon.
17. Shaitan| June 15 | Releasing on Disney + Hotstar
Shaitan is a Telugu web series written and directed by Mahi V Raghav. Mahi V Raghav is well known for remarkable films such as Anando Brahma and Yatra. Shaitan has Sai Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Lenaa Kumar, Nithin Prasanna, Aneesha Dama, Deviyani Sharma, Shelly, and Jaffer Sadiq in prime roles. The crime thriller is a hard-hitting revenge drama which will blur the lines between criminal and survival, as sometimes all that looks criminal is just survival.
18. Kerala Crime Files| June 23 | Releasing on Disney + Hotstar
Kerala Crime Files is the first Malayalam web series on Disney +Hotstar. It has Aju Varghese and Lal in prominent roles. The show’s plot revolves around a team of police inspectors trying to solve a murder case with just one clue, the address of the murderer in a lodge register. Watch the web series to discover what happens next when the police find the lead they were following is fake. You can watch in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
19.The Night Manager Part :II|June 30| Releasing on Disney + Hotstar
Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur are back with the second season of the most awaited action-packed crime thriller show. The first season saw Shan Sengupta roped in by Indian intelligence officers to be a part of arms dealer Shailender Rungtas’ team to know his whereabouts and take him down. Now it will be interesting to watch whether Shaan, who has made it to Shelly’s (Shailender’s) inner circle, will let go of his mission and become Shelly’s aide or work as a double agent. It is a must-watch for suspense and spy film lovers.
