The opening and closing dates of Kedarnath for this year are not yet revealed. However, the tentative date for the opening of Kedarnath in 2023 is 26 April 2023 and Kedarnath will close in November. Priests at Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple calculate the Panchang every year to determine the date of Kedarnath’s opening.
Taking calculations into account, It is anticipated that the temple’s doors will be opened on 26 April 2023 (tentatively) in the morning with a special Pooja. Mahashivratri will mark the date for the announcement of the opening date of Kedarnath in 2023.
This year, sources suggest that two days after Bhai Dooj, the Kedarnath will be closed for the pilgrims on Diwali. Kedarnath temple will close after the morning Pooja Archana. There will be an official announcement on Vijaydashmi regarding the closing date of Kedarnath Dham in 2023.
