He receives a phone call from mobster Ganesh Gaitonde telling him to save the city within 25 days. A fugitive gang boss and a good cop are connected by their shared pasts. A Suitable Boy is a BBC television drama miniseries that Andrew Davies adapted from the 1993 book by Vikram Seth. The series is based on the book Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11 by journalist Sandip Unnithan, which explores Operation Black Tornado, the military response to the terrorist attacks of November 26, 2001. The NSG Commandos, who were brought in to save the day during the 26/11 terrorist strikes after the Mumbai Police suffered significant fatalities, are featured in the series as they observe the terrorist attacks.

Indian dystopian drama web series ‘Leila’ is based on Prayaag Akbar’s 2017 book. Leila tells the tale of Shalini, a mother searching for her missing daughter in a totalitarian society not too distant in the future. The 2019 Indian web television thriller series ‘The Final Call’ is based on Priya Kumar’s 2015 book ‘I Will Go with You’.
