And, in order to reach their goal- they rob, steal, and save a lot of money. They have to survive this turf war with methheads and a rival gang to win over this game of life. The creators of this unique show are Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi and stars K. Devery Jacobs, D’Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai, Lane Factor, and Paulina Alexis in important roles. The show has 100% likeability on Rotten Tomatoes and is a must-watch!
2. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart | August 4 | Amazon Prime
It is a drama based on the novel ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ by the Australian novelist Holly Ringland. It is a Prime original seven-part mini-series which is directed by Glendyn Ivin. It is a dark drama about a young girl who faced a violent upbringing got orphaned and then moved in with her grandmother on a flower farm. This show follows the theme of redemption. It stars Sigourney Weaver and Alycia Debnam-Carey in the main roles of grandmother and granddaughter.
3. Only Murders in the Building Season 3 | August 8 | Hulu
It is a mystery comedy-drama series that stars some big names like Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Meryl Streep, Amy Ryan, and Cara Delevingne. It has already streamed two seasons that showed how the three musketeers together solved grisly murders happening inside a resident society. The show was created by Steve Martin, and John Hoffman and has worked like a charm on its audience because of the funny yet intriguing mysteries, excellent chemistry between the three main leads- and a purpose to leave the audience wanting for another season of the show. ‘Before Britain, There Was Arthur’ are the lines that leave an impression in our minds that it could be a great show although the show is getting a bag full of mixed reviews! It is a historical fantasy fiction show based on a novel by Bernard Cornwell. This series is based on the first novel of the Warlord Chronicles trilogy. It was one of the much-awaited series of Britain. It takes place in post-Roman Dark Age Britain about Arthurian legend. The story of the great legend Arthur is narrated by the great warrior who has turned monk about why Arthur was the lord of war despite having an illegitimate throne. The show has got a low rating because it goes astray from the original story of Cornwell’s novel and therefore people are a little disappointed. Though, if you are interested in watching those remarkable novels in the form of a series adaptation- try this one!
5. Ahsoka | August 23 | Disney+Hotstar
It is an action-adventure crime drama mini-series a spinoff of The Mandalorian that answers the long-awaited question from the Star Wars franchise. Rosario Dawson has reprised her ‘The Mandalorian’ character- Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi Padawan, and also follows the same timeline where Ahsoka is shown trying to find out those dangerous threats on their Galaxy. It is also one of those shows that the viewers including all the fans of the Star Wars franchise are waiting to watch. Ahsoka was created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni, Ray Stevenson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have played important roles among many other actors.
6. A Murder at the End of the World | August 29 | FX on Hulu
It is a murder-mystery crime drama series about a Gen Z sleuth Darby Hart, who is invited along with other guests at a scenic view by a reclusive billionaire, and all of them land in a soup when a murder happens at the venue. Now, Darby has a chance to put her skills to use and solve the case of murder that happened at this secluded retreat. This whodunit mini-series is created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij and features Emma Corrin, Brit Marling, Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, and Alice Braga in important roles among others. The show was supposed to release on August 29 but the release date is now postponed and the first episode will stream on November 14th 2023. 7. One Piece | August 31 | Netflix
This tale of adventures is based on a Japanese manga series of 1997 that has got its live adaptation. Iñaki Godoy plays the lead role of the pirate captain Monkey D. Luffy who mistakenly eats a Devil Fruit and gains the mystical properties of rubber. Thereafter, this young pirate captain with the mystical abilities of a fruit plant goes on an adventure with his crew to find the treasure- One Piece (now I have the reason behind the name of the series!). So, watch this Netflix original series that is all about friends, adventure, fantasy, and a treasure hunt. The series is created by Steven Maeda, and Matt Owens, and stars Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, and Emily Rudd in lead roles.
