The favorite American sitcom after Friends (YUP!) has been our comfort show for so many years. The show started airing in 2005 and ran for 9 successful seasons. It chronicled the journey of Ted Mosby- a New York-based architect who is living a great life with his kids. One day, he sits down and narrates all the events that eventually led him to meet his wife and their mother. 1. Okay, Awesome (Season 1, Episode 5)
This ultra-funny episode shows the group going for a fun club night on a weekend. While Ted embarrasses himself with his awkward ways, on the other hand, Robin does not get entry inside the club due to a minor misspelling of her name.
2. Spoiler Alert (Season 3, Episode 8)
An episode that proves the upside of having best friends (or maybe not!)- Ted is happy about meeting the love of his life but soon his friends update him with the flaws of the girl he is dating.
3. The Naked Man (Season 4, Episode 9)
This episode saw Robin dating an eligible bachelor, who apparently tries the trick of getting naked after the first date as a trick. This attempt is indeed a risky one!
4. Slap Bet (Season 2, Episode 9)
This episode had a lot going on- while Barney is afraid of a bizarre slap bet he had with Marshal, the gang also ends up discovering a hidden past secret of Robin- some guesses include her being a porn star, or she is married.
5. Game Night (Season 1, Episode 15)
Marshall arranges a game night that gradually becomes funny, and embarrassing for many when the secrets come out of the closet- especially of Barney who was once a lovesick bohemian (Gasp!).
6. Legendaddy (Season 6, Episode 19)
This episode was equally emotional and hilarious and a life-changing one for Barney who meets his biological dad and his wife Cheryl for the first time. Much to his dismay, his original father leads a boring life unlike him.
7. How Your Mother Met Me (Season 9, Episode 16)
This episode shows the ‘mother’ that every fan of the show has been waiting to know about since the beginning. The episode is funny, emotional, and exciting to watch as the wait is finally over! He also explains his earlier misconnections with his wife when he dated her roommate Cindy.
8. The Pineapple Incident (Season 1, Episode 10)
This will easily fall on the list of the top 10 funniest episodes! The episode starts with Ted waking up next to a pineapple sitting on his bedside table. He then dugs up information from everyone who were present at the party last night to know piece-by-piece- what eventually led to this pineapple in his bedroom.
9. The Final Page: Part Two (Season 8, Episode 12)
In this Christmas special one-hour episode, Ted contemplates whether to tell Robin that Barney is going to propose to his girlfriend Patrice or not. But there are some bigger reveals waiting for everyone!
10. Blitzgiving (Season 6, Episode 10)
This hilarious Thanksgiving episode shows Ted leaving early from the bar early to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for his gang. But, he wakes up the next day to hear a lot of great stories about the last night.
11. Girls vs. Suits (Season 5, Episode 12)
In this episode, Barney, our very own ‘Suit Up!’ man has to choose between wearing suits or sleeping with a sexy bartender. Why so? Because the bartender hates suits! In this episode, Ted also gets really close to meeting the ‘mother’ when he is dating her roommate Cindy.
