There is a scene where the fathers-on duo spends a night in a public toilet- this will make any stone-hearted man also cry a bucket full of tears.
2. Saving Private Ryan
A 1998 war action movie about an army caption named John Miller who has been tasked during the ongoing World War II, to search for Private James Ryan- whose three brothers have already been killed on the battlefield. Out of 8 men who went on the search mission- only two came back alive. While Ryan was safe and sound and sent back home. The scene where older Ryan comes and pays his homage on Miller’s grave and thanks his wife- is one of the most heartbreaking scenes of the movie.
3. Armageddon
An action sci-fi film starring Bruce Willis in the central role of an oil driller named Harry, who is contacted by the NASA team to help them in the mission of saving the world from an asteroid that is soon going to hit the Earth. While many crew members successfully head back after the mission is completed- Harry realizes that he might not survive- his last message for the love of his life will make any man’s heart ache with pain.
4. Old Yeller
It is a 1957 Western American adventure movie about a young boy who does not like a stray dog named Old Yeller, but when he saves his younger sibling from a bear attack- he decides to adopt the dog. However, unfortunately, after many happy and memorable days- it comes to their knowledge that Yeller was once bitten by a rabid wolf while he was saving their family. So, now this boy has to kill his dog with his own hands before he turns insane and attacks them. In the last scene where he shoots his best friend and pet- Old Yeller can make any bulky man also cry like a small kid!
5. Gladiator
Gladiator is a 2000-released action adventure movie that shows the journey of Maximus who comes out of the clutches of slavery to become a Gladiator and avenge the death of his family. Despite being an action film- you will start liking the brave and kind Maxiums, so in the final scene- when he is lying on his deathbed- you cannot help but shed tears at losing such a great person- even though it is in the movie!
6. 50/50
It is a rom-com that was released in the year 2011. It is about a radio journalist who comes to a screeching halt when he is diagnosed with spinal cancer. So, instead of getting back to the rat race- he decides to live life. And, while battling this disease- he goes through a life-changing phase that shows him the real value of love and friendships.
7. Field of Dreams
A 1989 sports fantasy movie about an Iowa-based farmer and baseball player who has dreams, and visions, and even hears voices that tell him to make a baseball field in his backyard. He even has a dream of a baseball made of diamond that urges him to create the field as soon as possible! The movie’s story tells you about the many ups and downs of life that one has to face to get through life- this reality-hitting movie will make you emotional at not one point but throughout the film.
8. Toy Story 3
This animated movie is about Woody and his toy friends. The third movie shows Woody convincing his toy friends that they were not dumped by Andy and that he will lead them back home. Unfortunately, that is not the case- and even toys have a mortal life. The scene where toys are going through an incinerator is heart-breaking for not just the fans of those franchises- but for all of us. The movie shows that no matter how good a life we lead- we all have to bid goodbye one day.
9. Good Will Hunting
It is a 1997 romance drama film starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the lead roles. The story is about a genius mathematician who faces some serious emotional and mental health crises- so he takes help from psychiatrist Dr Sean Maguireto, to recover back to his math-solving happy self. We all face issues daily and carry the baggage of guilt, grief, and anger with us. But, here when Dr Sean convinces Will that he doesn’t have to carry some baggage and it is not his fault- he breaks into tears- this scene is the most memorable and emotional one and you can’t watch it with a straight face.
10. Warrior
A 2011 released sports action movie- Warrior about an ex-marine Tommy coming back from his mission and asking his father to train him for a mixed martial arts tournament. Everything is fine except one thing- his opponent is his brother. The sibling rivalry and the number of emotions that it evokes are hardly ever shown in such depth. This movie can break the hearts of all those who have faced such circumstances in their lives.
