As of today Hollywood is synonymous with American Film and Television Industry. Over time Hollywood has produced some of the most iconic films. In 1908, the filming of The Count of Monte Cristo  was completed in Hollywood. And, soon after the area saw a sharp rise in filmmaking.  Subsequently, film studios established in the area. And by 1915, Hollywood became the centre of American film industry.
